Episode 5 is up.
Due to the file editing and corruption issues, we chose to go ahead and release this episode raw/ uncut / unedited to keep you junkies from having to wait any longer.
Please excuse the raw format.
This time we hit on @hearthcast, tcg loot code contest, lots of listener questions, and much more good stuff for making gold in the auction houses of World of Warcraft.
Enjoy!

Back to Basics;
I am totally new to gold making. So I will be implementing some of your strategies so can you guys start at the beginning, but I want you to keep your long term gold making goals in mind. I need to start the prefect gold making factory!
How many toons should I make? What levels do I need to get them too?What professions will they be and why? What class would they be and why? For example, I love farming with my Mage (he's the one that goes out and farms cloth and skins and he's an enchanter so he can de any greens he finds). He also has the ability to teleport everywhere, which makes going to different farming spots easy. He mails the cloth back to my Leatherworker and the cloth to my tailor. I have a hunter that mines and skins, but I'm thinking of changing him to herbalism.
@wwoods
For the Level questions, you generally want to have alts at at least level 75 for the max profession skill of 525.(Just like Lv 65 in Wrath for 450 skill)
In some cases you'll need level 84 for access into Twilight Highlands as you'll want/need recipes and mats from the vendors.
@Josh - Good info..thanks!
Nice Job
Have only heard two of your podcast's and you have hooked me. New to both WOW and making gold. You guys have helped me a ton. Just one thing, tell me about the authenticator? Do you use them, do they do what they say? Are they safe. I was already hacked last Saturday night, lost 5000 gold and anything else that they could sell. Sent in a ticket and they were back to me in less then an hour and within 4 hours had my account back and almost all of my stuff. It was a lot of work to get back my own stuff and was looking for a way to stop that from happening. What do ya say?
Thx

I really enjoy your podcasts. Its entertaining and always full of really good information. Your enjoyment of WoW and making gold comes through load and clear every podcast.
I know there is a great variation between servers and how to best make gold. Its always going to be that way when you deal with large numbers of people. So there is not going to be any 'push this button' to win strategy. But you provide heaps of insight, and things to look at in order to come up with a strategies that work.
I can say sense listening your podcast, website and some of the other websites similar to yours its improved my gold making a huge amount.
I know I am just starting out with AH, and trying to make gold. However, I have gone from making about 300 gold on a good day to making 6k on a good day, and on average over 1k gold a day. And that in no small part is due to your podcasts.
Thank-you heaps for the time and effort you put into this.
P.S. Sorry if I missed it but it would be helpful to have a way of posting, without using my email address, or a link to my website. Note I dont use OpenId either.
@Kathleen
While no method is 100% safe, adding an authenticator adds an extra layer of protectio for youe account. An Authenticator is a small (key chain sized) device that, when used, generates a unique random number for your account and your account only. That same unique number is also generated on the Blizzard site for your account. When you log in those two numbers have to match exactly. So 1) they are super easy to use, 2) they are super safe. For the price ( around $10 with shipping) they are well worth it. A few notes: You need one for each account. There is a barcode number on the back that you ABSOLUTELY have to write down, because if you lose your authenticator (remember how small it is!) you need that number to get it removed from your account..otherwise your going to have a heck of a time getting it removed.
@kathleen
We cover authenticators in detail on episode #3, which looks like thats you next one to listen to.
Thanks for listening and for the positive feedback.

Check out my post at Cold's Gold Factory on Multiple Profession Coverage in World of Warcraft
Hey guys, great podcast. I don't know the process for getting listed, but I can't access your podcast via the Podcaster app on my IPhone. Any way you guys can make that happen?

Really like the Podcast, not been in the gold making part of the game for to long. But I really got hooked on it after I started to look around of Blogs and Podcasts.
Really nice tips in all the casts and some of them have helped quite a bit.
Keep up the good work!
